Since 2014, ALF’s Internship Program in the United States has served as a bridge between academic preparation and real-world professional challenges. Participants are placed in leading companies, government institutions, multilateral organizations and non-profit entities, primarily in Washington, D.C.
The guiding principle is simple: the best way to learn leadership is by practicing it where decisions are made, policies are shaped and businesses are transformed. Participants gain first-hand exposure to organizational culture, professional expectations and the values of responsibility, adaptability and innovation.
Over the past decade, hundreds of young professionals have built not only their résumés but also international networks of peers and mentors. Many alumni have gone on to assume leadership roles in government, business, academia and civil society in their home countries.
